CONTRACT UPDATE The contract was ratified by the membership on June 19th. Listed below are the highlights of the updated contract. New paid holiday (December 24th) Return of Association rights. Almost every bargaining unit employee will receive at least a $1700.00 raise spread over the next two years. Tuition reimbursement goes from $500 to $700. ESY pay for Paraeducators will be $14.50. The District will no longer be “banking” hours. Which means, paychecks will only reflect hours worked during that pay period. Employees will now receive a copy of their work grids. This will enable employees to be able to figure out their paychecks. SSD will hold meetings to help employees update how their checks are disbursed to them. This will allow employees to do their own withholding so they are able to have money available for the summer months. The dates for these meetings are listed below.
